Pay Rate of a Receptionist:
$17/hr
Hours:
- 8:30AM – 4:30PM
- Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Perform typical Front Desk duties which include but are not limited to:
- Welcome incoming clients and visitors
- Answer phones and route calls to appropriate associate
- Schedule and confirm appointments
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Front Desk role
- Must be familiar with accounting lingo
- Strong verbal and written skills
Job Summary
Firstly, the ideal candidate will already have previous Front Desk experience. Should the candidate have experience in an Accounting environment, that is considered an asset.
Secondly, the Reception employee will be responsible for picking up calls, transferring to appropriate departments, and other administrative tasks.
It is crucial that the Front Desk Professional understands Accounting Lingo. When transferring calls, the front desk worker must understand where the call will be directed to. For example, if a client is calling about T4 or T5 taxes, the Reception worker must know what department to transfer that to.
Lastly, the ideal candidate will be personable, attentive and organized. They will be expected to greet every client in person, or by phone, with a positive attitude.
