Full Time, Permanent

Location: Tomken and Courtneypark Dr. E (Mississauga)

Payrate of an Accountant:

• $70,000 – 100,000 / Year + benefits (based on experience)

 Hours:

• 8AM- 4:30PM
• Monday to Friday

 Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements: This includes accurately preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
• Maintaining accounting records: This involves creating and maintaining accurate accounts, ledgers, and financial records for all transactions.
• Reconciliation of accounts: This involves reconciling all accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, and to identify discrepancies.
• Financial analysis: This involves performing financial analysis to determine trends and the financial health of the company.
• Preparation of budgets: This involves creating and managing budgets for departments within the company.
• Tax preparation: This involves preparing and filing tax returns and ensuring compliance with all tax laws.
• Internal and external audits: This includes performing internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Financial forecasting: This involves forecasting future financial trends and analyzing their potential impact on the company.
• Cost control: This involves identifying and managing costs to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
• Financial reporting: This involves providing timely and accurate financial reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum experience of 3 years’ as an Accountant.
• Proficient in QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with FishBowl ERP system is an asset.
• Knowledgeable with US accounting system and tax law, is an asset but not a requirement.
• Knowledgeable in payroll.

Job Summary

Elite Jobs is looking for a Corporate Accountant in Mississauga, Ontario! This on- site position pays a range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year and includes benefit such as Health, Dental and RRSP. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 8AM- 4:30PM. The Accountant will be working for an industry leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality industrial fans and blowers. The selected candidate will be working for the company directly.

The job duties related to this position are: preparation of financial statements, maintaining accounting records, preparation of budgets, reconciliation of accounts, financial analysis, tax prep, cost control, financial forecasting and reporting. It is an asset if the candidate understands US account systems and tax laws as the company is expanding into the United States, however not a requirement. There are opportunities to be trained in the future on US tax accounting and laws.
